Anyone here from PDX

Hi I wasn't sure were to post this but just wanted to give a shout out to anyone in the Portland OR area, wondering if anyone would like to start a group for fish keepers in PDX!

Several of us here, but you might get better exposure in the local groups forums on here. Also, there already is a will established PDX group: http://gpas.club

From what I understand, they don't do a ton of live plants or inverts, but I honestly wouldn't know. With a newborn around, I never have time for stuff like that

Hi hubble13,

The Greater Portland Aquarium Society (GPAS) is a great club and they bring in some outstanding speakers. Last month they had Gary Lange, the noted Rainbowfish explorer and breeder. I drove down from Seattle specifically to hear his talk. He brought egg kits for several rare species which were put into the mini auction they have at the end of the meetings. I picked up some juvie Pseudomugil gertrudae ARU II White Strain.

Yes, there were several different varieties of plants in the auction. Also check out The Wet Spot and World of Wet Pets for good plants and fish in your area.
