Anacharis coming back! Hahah

So the first plants I ever got for my 20g tank was a bundle of Anacharis from a gross tank with some poor floaters in it at a petco. They had mostly melted away & been eaten by the 4 goldfish I got about 2 years ago now(2 of which are still kickin).

ANYWAYS, I had decided to dirt the tank & dumped the old gravel out in the yard. This was just a little after I got the goldies, so ~2 years. I'm out watering plants today & find this going on...

They look a hell of a lot more leggy & cool out of water! Gonna try to transplant some into my shrimp tank, cuz I don't trust the goldies, & see how they do. The rest will sit by the tank & just look cool!

Just a neat little surprise, I thought I'd share.

It's my understanding that anachris is a true aquatic, and cannot resist in an emmersed state, what you have there looks like water sprite or something similar to that

Maybe! There might have been some other stuff mixed in, but it was super early on when I was just starting out & I really didn't have anything but the "Anacharis" in the tank. I know plants can look really different in different environments so I figured it was just that.

I've always wanted some water sprite tho, so if that's what it is, then yay! Heheh

This is pretty adorable, actually. Good luck with it!

Once upon a time I had ludwigia. It disintegrated.
