flow help?

Hey everyone,

I'm never happy with my flow/circulation, so I thought I'd ask for some suggestions.

38g
eheim 2215
small rio powerhead

The photo is old, but the wood is in the same place. The horizontal spraybar is about 3 in above the substrate on the left, behind the wood. Intake is on the right side behind the other wood.

I'm all ears...

I'd put the spraybar near the top, personally.

Get one of the "installation kits" from Big Als if the green drives you as batty as it does me- lol This is what they look like if you're interested (they're dark grey, not blue- that's just a trick of the light)

You can do what I do, I took off the nozzle on my C360 and just let the pipe end at a 90 degree elbow. I pointed that down the glass in the back of the tank and it gives really good circulation. It also was the only way I could get the water to have any surface ripple without blowing water over the edge. You can try it (pull the spray bar) and see if it pushes the water the way you want it.

Have you ever seen a French Ninja? NO because they are sneaky.

You really shouldn't have any flow problems with a 2215 on a 38. I have the same filter on a 72g without any powerheads and I could clearly see all plants moving in the flow. Just put on the left side glass at the water's edge at a 45 degree angle.
