super glue

Well I haven't used a bucket in 10 years and now I know why,had to do some syphoning and used two 5 gal.buckets and when emptying them strained my back so i am going to sit here and post some questions since I can't do much else.I will post them in there proper category so the mods will not get upset lol.So I have been reading about using super glue to attach plants so thought I would give it a try and it works great on Java fern,Anubias and the one Buce i am trying out. However I tried it on some moss{Christmas I think}and two days later it is brown and dieing. It was just about 4 loose strands i found in my tank.It turned brown where the glue touched it so is moss and super glue a no no or should I wait to see if it comes back? thanks

I've been using this stuff with moss without issue.

It's certainly possible if you have a tiny bit of moss like you described that it might kill it at the contact point.

Aquarium safe super glue ingredient should be Cyanoacrylate gel.

Hi Doogy262,

+1 for:

Get Gel not regular SuperGlue. I like Loctite because it reseals very well and it doesn't dry out between uses.
