is this hard water stains

i've been scrubing this stuff with vinegar, baking soda, and a razor blade with no luck. it looks like domite stuck on the sides.

I need to figure this out, I have all the plants and fish in from the 55 in the 15 gallon cube with a hob 250 canister, thinking this 110 would be a simple and quick project but it's turning in to a pain.

Thanks, Joey. tanks-CUBE of different sizes.

Where did you get the tank from. Using baking soda could scratch the glass...

Some CLR cleaner will make short work of hard water deposits. Just rinse thoroughly and repeat until you would be happy to eat off it. Then rinse a few more times to be sure.

I got it from a member on texasfishkeepers, i can feel it but it's smooth and hardly feelable when i splash water over it, and it's on the inside of the tank. i'll buy some cly cleaner in the morning.

I had the same situation and tried everything (including soaking paper towels in CLR and placing them on the tank with a plastic wrapping over the towels to retain the moisture for several days). No progress...I came to the conclusion that the glass was etched. If that is the case, there is nothing you can do about it.

I bought another tank.

The CLR should have taken it off as soon as it hit the stains. Sounds like its not hard water deposits.
