Apex Controller

I already have one of the Apex controller on my display tank, but someone I work with gave me his old Apex, trying to decide if I should sell it or keep it for my QT tank? I just wonder if it more trouble than it worth. My QT tank is 40 gallons, that runs 24/7. It only used now to treat sick fish or new fish, sometimes I use it to grow out larger fish, so using it for bunch of stuff, but rare I get new fish now that my display has the fish I want in it. What would you guys do? I have someone that wants to buy it for 375, that why I am bit torn what to do.

Just sell it. Then one you have already can be expanded out to run it also if need be. Wish someone would give me there old apex lol my reef tank sure could use it. Haha

Sell it off, if you have one apex it can be expanded to control multiple tanks, no need to have two controllers.

I thought about this as well, but tanks are on the other side of the house from each other, how would I expand it?

Unfortunately you would have to get an aquabus cable to run between the two, I don't know if they have some type of wireless aquabus, but worth looking into! If this is not possible to do then it would be unfortunately better off for you to have 2 apex systems. Could always post on the apex community forum, they have some pretty knowledgeable members on there that may have a solution. I am in the process of connecting everything to my first Apex and boy do I like it already! Good luck!

Sell it and get one of their expansion modules/other accessories with the money.

Sell it then buy my Maxspect gyre 130 with icecap expansion module and forward/reverse cable. I'll never use these things b/c I like Vortechs better (space), but you could on your pre-existing Apex

I think I am just going to sell it, I don't see much use of having the apex on a QT tank or grow out tank. Just one more thing to go wrong I guess?
