Hello, ever since I have started my 15 gallon, there has been brown balls on the leaves of some of the slower growing plants, how can I get rid of them. I have a Nertie snail hes eating most everything but hes to big to get on the plants. Is there any type of safe chemical, filter, or light to help this.

Brown balls? Never heard of that. If you do have brown algae, you will need to manually remove it. It should start to disappear when your tank starts to get astablished. If you cant get rid of it, get some Oto's and they will take care of it!

"Balls" on the leaves of slow growing plants sounds like it could be BBA not diatoms. I don't think Nerites will eat BBA. A picture would be helpful as would more details about your tank.

First off check out the following site and see if you can identify the type of algae you have....

Then let everyone here know some more details about the tank, how long has it been set up, type of light, wattage, photoperiod, do you dose any fertilizers, use CO2, types of plants, fish, filtration etc. That will help you to get better answers.
