If you run out of prime is it safe to use another water conditioner?

I ran out of prime last night and I have some start right or aqua safe. Is it safe to use one of these to remove the chlorine after using prime in the water? I am asking because I am not sure. I am unable to get the prime for a while and need to do a few water changes.

You might be thinking of using amine based dechlorinators in regenerating Purigen. I think it's something like the amines bind strongly to Purigen and when exposed to chlorine form chloramines. Anyway, if that's not an issue for you then you should be able to use any dechlorinator you want I would think.

Thanks, Jeff. This is what I was thinking about when I posted my question, just wasn't sure how to ask it. You're a mind reader, lol. I'll just take out the Purigen until I get more prime.

Keep the Purigen moist while you are storing it.
