CO2 question

I currently have CO2 into the intake of a powerhead (DIY setup). I have the powerhead on a timer to go off at night so that my fish have a more then comfortable atmosphere to rest. There still is adequate water circulation. However to combat pH changes should I run the powerhead 24-7? If turned off the bubble remains big and probably will just float to the top diffusing only a fraction of when the power head is on.

Also I have a thousand or so mini bubbles from the CO2 floating at the top of my tank, it doesn't seem right.. Any comments? Thanks a lot.

Lastly, heh, is 1.5 bps adequate? (obviously very new to the world of CO2)

I don't know how big your tank is.

I'm at about 4/s on my 75 gallon. If you don't have a drop checker, they are very useful. The color changes based on the CO2 level in the water. http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trk...All-Categories

btw, there is no need to turn the powerhead off.

Right on thanks for the link! It's a 29 gallon, just really paranoid last thing I want to do is kill my fish.. what do you think of the bubble build up on the surface?
