Amazon sword

IN my 20H, my amazon sword some how grew out of the water, well the leafs.
what to do?

You can't do much, that's just the nature of the beast! Swords get big!

When my swords overgrow, I pull them, snip off alot of the larger leaves, cut roots in half and replant, it will stun them temporarily, but soon return, I like to keep my swords on the smaller side, they get huge.

You can cut the leaves off that are coming out of the water as near the base of the plant as possible.

Thanks for the help, also when will this plant reproduce,?I have a friend who wants some and it's 20cm high right now.

You can carefully devide it with a razor blade, but most LFS that sell plants will have swords if nothing else...
