java moss propagation...

since i've added CO2 to my tank not too long ago, my java moss [like most my other plants] have been growing wild... does anybody know that if you cut off some of the strands of java moss and clump them together will the cuttings grow into a new plant or will they just die?

Each strand of Java moss has the potential to become another Java moss mass.

And become a mass it will ! As much as I love the j. moss it can really become cumbersome to trim. One little strand missed like Rex says can get hidden in some stems and the next thing you know...

Tell me about it. Mine started out as two strands and has now covered the driftwood which it has attached to. Now, it's encroaching on the petite anubias.
