Switched to 6700 from Acitinic

I just put in the new 6700K bulb and plants started to pearl within 5 minutes.

Somebody wants to buy Jebo Blue Acitinic light (2X55W)?? Its not even true acitinic.

Now I need recommendations on what to dose. Currently I dose Flourish Iron and Flourish Comprehensive.

My Nitrate is 10ppm and phosphate is 0.5 mg/L

can somebody help me what and how much stuff i need to buy from www.gregwatson.com

Thanks,
FMZ

Why do you have Jebo actinic lights in the first place? They do make 10,000K bulbs that should work for plants. Cheap source. Yes I believe they are sold in packs of two.

-A pound of KNO3 (nitrate) will last you around 16 months if you were to make doses of 5ppm NO3/day, 3 days/week.
-A pound of KH2PO4 (phosphate) will last you several lifetimes.
-A pound of CSM+B (traces + iron) will last a lifetime. You can get an oz. of this with the sample pack if you find the pound too expensive.
-KH2SO4 (potassium) really depends. Some here dose K regularly, others not. You can does alot (20ppm) or I've also seen very little (2ppm). A pound or two should suffice for the time being until you figure out your needs.
-CaCO3 and MgSO4 if you have very soft water.

A note on CSM. Others and me included have found that CSM+B doesn't contain enough iron in comparison to the other traces. Rex has said this can lead to copper build up if you dose according to iron (better known by PMDD method). The 10% iron chelate should also be ordered if you wish. The 1/2 pound quantity will last you forever.

Hemianthus micranthemoides
Heteranthera zosterifolia (star grass, don't know the spelling)
Rotala macrandra
Hygrophila difformis/Water Wisteria
Glossostigma Elatinoides
Ludwigia Repen
Rotala rotundifolia
Various kinds of Aponogenton bulbs

Yes I have the Jebo lightning going for 5 months..not bad for $70 plus shipping. It came with 2 10,000k and 2 Acitinic light.

I changed the acitinic to 6700k from AHsupply

CSM+B

I assume you have the 4x55W Jebo, that comes with 2 10,000K and 2 Actinic bulbs, correct? What color are the 10,000K bulbs lik: pure white, or bluish tinted?

Wow thats a nice deal. Two straight pin 10,000K bulbs that are not saltwater bluish, for only $10.

I do suggest getting the iron chelate, but many do fine with CSM+B for their iron. I'm only going to use my CSM+B for traces and a iron chelate for primary iron. I recently bought shrimp and they all died in a day - I suppose it the copper built up.

Are you saying not having enough Iron leads to a copper buildup?? Ok I looked at the light again, looks a tad blue compared to new 6700k I put in today. still 2 bulbs for $10, that's a unbeatable price.

here's what I am going to order

Nitrate Potassium Nitrate 1 lb. $2.17
CSMPlantex1 CSM+B Plantex 1 lb $8.59
IronChelate Iron Chelate 10% $8.59
PotassiumSulfate Potassium Sulfate 1 lb. $2.17
PotassiumPhosphate Mono Potassium Phosphate 1 lb. $3.42

Looks good to you?

No, I should of explained. We normally dose these traces with the iron in mind - meaning lets do x teaspoons of CSM+B to get the iron to 0.1 ppm. The problem is the proportion between iron and copper in CSM+B is not very wide compared to other trace ferts.

http://www.gpodio.com/fert_table.htm
For example, the ratio of iron to copper in Fluorish is 3,886:1. In CSM+B it is 73:1. I think you get the idea.
