I need few assassin snails to kill ramshorn snails. Where can I get them in Austin?

the fish gallery has some. You can also try River City Aquatics.

oh really that's great. I like fish gallery a lot.

Well, do you know how many I should buy? My tank has at least 50 ramshorn snails and I see lot of eggs on the leaves. I am feeding fishes very less and only very few flakes are not eaten by fish, still these pest snails continue to breed and lay eggs!

You only need like 2-3 to be honest, because once the assassin snails eats all of the other ones, they'll start to reproduce too. :/

You have GOT to try Austin Aqua-Dome! The place is epic and they have cheap assassin snails.
Don't worry about your assassin snails breeding out of control, they only have a few babies each. Plus, most pet stores will probably take them, or you could give them away.

I did buy 3 assassin snails from aqua dome. Its been 3 days, so far there is no action at all They simply dig in to mud or sit idle! What's going on?
Are they getting used to environment?

These are snails: you're going to have to give them plenty of time, speed is not their forte. But they'll slowly and steadily eat every MTS or pond snail you have, even nerites if they're hungry enough. Gotta be patient.

Do River City Aquatics or Aqua Dome have clithon corona? I tried Fish Gallery and Aquatek and they only have the other nerite types.

I've seen them a couple of times at AquaDome. There's this one place I went to once, might have been River City Aquatics, that had some really nice black horn nerites.

recently I have seen them in Aquadome. You can call them up before you go.
