Yeah no problems now that i could use help with just got done battling an alge bloom just looking for some people in the hobby. Most of the advice i could use is just some of the more basic things.Well actually whats a good way to oxygenate your tank i have a pretty good size air stone strip in now, but my cory cats keep darting to the surface to get air. I have it pretty well planted and i thought the plants would do a lot of the oxygen producing.

that is just what cory cats do, they do it in the wild, I saw a vid of them down in south america in one of the rivers ans yeah the river was like a constant barrage of corys surfacing, you can use and airstone or a powerhead some have a air siphon tube thingy, and which kind of algae were you fighting?

I'm fairly certain it was brown alge/diatoms I got a couple Otto cats and cut my light duration back. Think that's got it under control, there's still a little but it's not spreading like crazy anymore.

Good to meet you mark, hey if you want some free water sprite i could hook you up. My sprite needs a trim back and it has tons of runner roots i would really prefer to not haft to throw them away. Dont have room in my tank to replant.Just let me know if your interested.

Mark if i had the room i would love some swords. I will still give you that water sprite though if you want it. Now if you had a couple cuttings of Rotalla rotundafolia i would make room for that. Just let me know i dont mind just giving you the sprite no trade needed. I just hate throwing away healthy plants that could be replanted.

I live south of Greeneville. Have 12 planted tanks from 2 gal to 75 gal and 1 35 gal saltwater. Would be interested in chating with anyone interested in either fresh or saltwater. Occasionally have a few plants and fish to trade.

I am in Jefferson City as well. I am a native to Bristol and travel all over for work so I am very familiar with the area. Has anyone looked into starting any clubs for the region?
