Plants found locally in lakes, rivers, etc

Figured we could share pictures of successful plants we have found locally, so that while out hunting (for those that do) we are all aware of what to look for. Carry your camera with you on your journeys and share your stories.

Before and After shots would be welcomed.

I currently have a red type, thinking ludwiga something, but the leaves are still filling in and it's straightening up still. Made for a very enjoyable few days getting out of the house since it has warmed up. We are currently trying to figure out how to get the last batch of plants we saw out of a lake, it's to grown in for me or my boyfriend to want to crawl down and pull it out by hand.

This is the one tall piece in the big tank. It's still recovering a bit, leaves had a lot of holes, dirt etc but it's looking good so far. Growing well and healthy. It was in a fairly fast running river, so it's straightened up nicely it was bent over touching the ground when we got it a month and a half ago.

Where did you find it? I've been looking for local aquatic plants.

As I mentioned in another post, I have been getting some Creeping Jenny from Beaver Creek that runs between Emory Rd and W. Beaver Creek Rd in Powell.

We found it in a small fast flowing stream/river here in Jefferson City, I am not sure of the name but it's behind the old post office under a little bridge with a wooden white sidewalk built over the stream. My directions are awful! lol

Cool I know where mossy creek is. I've fished around the area where it feeds into the lake.
