Creeping Jenny?

I think I found some creeping jenny by a local creek. I gathered some and put it in my tank. If it works out, I'll post some pics.

Its spouting roots and getting taller. Think we have a winner.

Creeping Jenny?

This stuff is invasive in my backyard. Do you have it fully submerged?

Yep, one of the few plants that grow well in your dry, sun-exposed backyard as well as fully submerged in your aquarium. They will change to a lighter color, and upright growing habit in your tank, but do quite well there.

Hi, just wondering how's that creeping jenny doing in your tank now? Im going to be setting up a tank soon and already have creeping jenny in hanging baskets on the patio.
Do you have any updated pictures? Thanks!

I managed to almost kill all my creeping jenny but I tried to plant it and let it grow up, it does much better floating or anchored close to the surface on driftwood or a rock. Since I started letting it float and anchored some pieces near the water line on heaters, driftwood and the dividers in my betta tank it has really, really taken off and grown some beautiful leaves.

I put an 8 inch piece of creeping jenny in my tank and rooted it into the substrate. It grew to the top of the tank with flowing roots where each leaf sprouted. Once it grew some off shoots i tossed the big piece and rooted them. On these, the leaves are much smaller and lighter colored. Also, there are only roots at the base in the substrate and it grows more straight up. Really is doing well and I have to keep it trimmed to keep it in check. Here is a pic of it now:http://i1051.photobucket.com/albums/...g?t=1378257872 sorry for all the snail poop all over it

Mine is doing great! It's planted in the bottom and grows to the top (20") in 2 -3 weeks so I have to trim it pretty often.
