LFS closes; what happened?

Stopped at the American Aquarium north of Allentown, Pa., and found them closed and the shelves, visible through the windows, empty.
They have been in business for many years up until now.

It's a shame -another good store bites the dust.

They closed up shop a little over a month ago. Most of the things in the store were marked down 50% from like mid December thru January.....he didn't seem in much of a hurry...

I believe as of 1/31 he still had a few things left - notably some "cut-down" tanks....Think of a 20 long or 33 long or 55 with the height reduced....I believe he had them special made and what he was asking originally I wasn't willing to pay.

you can trying calling their number - maybe he as it forwarded...

When my son was playing baseball, I was in the area all the time and American was about the only place I knew of in the valley with FW. Something Fishy is and always has been 100% SW, so if anything's come up in the last few years that I haven't heard about, I'd certainly be interested to know.

I have been happy with the Petco on Lehigh St.
They have a fair selection of fish.
Other products are limited, like most LFS, but ok.

Something Fishy is pretty impressive. Although I haven't dealt with a salt setup, I could look around in there for a long time

I wish there were some specialized stores around, no good plants at stores like petco

This got me thinking a bit and found a site LFSlocator dot com or something close to that.

There isn't one in the Lehigh valley.
