Question coming to philly are...where to collect DW?

Hey Pa peeps I am coming to philly area and I thought while I am there I might as well try to find some cool drift wood. out here in wyoming we dont have much hard wood at all, lots of cotton wood but as you know its not the best not the worst either.

I have a soon to be 40br that will focus on DW and HC ground cover.
I enjoy "hunting" for the stuff. any recommendations on where to go to collect, I dont mind driving for a nice hike either. if there are nice pieces for sale at a good price that may be an option.

also LFS to check out in the philly area??

just thought I would check and see..
Cheers

LFS Philly area (from closest to airport to furthest):

Aquarium World, Boothwyn, PA (knowlegeable staff)
Seven Seas, Brookhaven, PA (so-so)
Greenbank Aquarium, Wilmington, DE
Captain Nemo's (now Natural Pets), Norristown, PA (hit or miss)

If you're going to "hunt" for wood - you can try any number of the numerous creeks - Wissahickon, Darby, Chester, Pocopson
Also the Brandywine Valley is very nice country and the Brandywine River runs all along through it.

Note, I'm keeping you out of Philly "proper" as you'd probably want something that's been in clean streams (less pollution as possible - Philly is a big city)

It's a bit of a drive from Philly but The Aquarium Center in Blackwood, NJ has a decent selection of spider wood; both small and large pieces. They also have a good variety of stone to choose from.

No pinoy angels in stock according to their website.

If you look them up on facebook they just got a shipment of spiderwood in and put a picture of the display on their page so you can maybe get an idea of what they have before you go

I didn't feel like treating, soaking, bleaching, etc, so I paid $5 per 6 inch pretreated wood from Bensalem, the Petco on street rd., they have bigger pieces also.
