Any good places to score native plants???

I know it's like absolutely freezing right now but in once summer starts, are there any good places to get some native plants? And also any cool native fish that ARE NOT pan fish?

Look at darters and shiners.

Also, there are streams here that don't freeze solid and you can dig up mosses and Guppy grass all year long.

Duck ponds before and after they migrate. Ducks eat erything....

Any sandy shallow rivers? I live on the Loup and Platte basically... Both rivers harbor sags and hairgrass... I know of at least one pond that grows echinodorus. A big reservoir that is filled with lotus...

Just go peek around, and don't break the ice...

For fish check out http://www.zimmermansfish.com

One of my friends on here has a native tank and Brian helped him catch them all.

Plantwise, you can swing a dead cat and find Ludwigia palustris, Lysimachia nummularia and
Persicaria hydropiperoides most wet places here in Ohio. With a bit of persistence, you can find Penthorum sedoides as well. I've seen hair grass (probably Eleocharis parvula) as well. If you make it up to NE Ohio, I'd be happy to go plant hunting with you.
