I knew they climb out of tanks. They're currently climbing out of their acclimation bucket. How long can they survive out of the water? Do they need to be completely submerged at all times?

For long times. I have not tested how much, but it seems they like to do this sometimes.

When they do crawl out, what's the best way of breaking their strong suction without hurting them?

Move them gently toward the fron of their shell. they will fill the movement and allow you to move them. If you feel too much resistance, you are doing it wrong.

Lastly, how much should I worry about them transferring diseases into my tank? Can I put them straight into my main tank or should I keep them in Q/T for awhile?

They have been QT for 4 weeks.

Pedro
