Ah, didn't even realize there was a LFS in Hicksville. That's great these are for my dads tank. He works in Hicksville right by 106/107 and West John Street.

I'll have him give them a ring.

If I'm thinking of this correctly Tropical Showcase is less than a mile west of there. Its in a little strip mall on the north side of OCR with a dance studio and maybe a deli as well as some other stores. Pretty nice little shop actually from what I recall. Young staff but they seemed pretty knowledgeable and an older gentleman who I assume was the owner kind of sat back ready to pounce if they gave bad advice!

Did you try petswarehouse? They have a few locations and the one in Carle Place has a nice plant selection.

Went by Tropical Showcase this past Saturday. They are insanely over-priced. $6.99 per Amano!? Petco in Union Square doesn't even mark the prices up that high. Theirs are $2.79 a piece.

I ended up just netting a few out of my 29G and giving them to my dad this past weekend and may just end up doing the same with others. I can replace the ones in my tank with new stock and just net him out the bigger bodied ones.

I can also give Petswarehouse a go. Forgot about that suggestion.

Yes they do/did! Thanks so much. He went in and picked up six. They're already going to town on the hair algae!
