Western New York crew

I belong to a saltwater aquarium club, and we have events a few times a year where we can buy and sell livestock and equipment, have group buys, and offer advice on forums.

Is there anything like this for freshwater planted tanks an my area?

Thanks everyone. Yeah, Syracuse it too far to drive, especially today's gas prices. I may be able to make it to a Rochester event. I will check out the tfcec club, but the site seems as though it is for hardcore enthusiasts.
I am just looking to get a better handle on dosing and plant knowledge. Maybe a deal on different plants and fish.

redrider911 -- I live in Buffalo, and I'm certainly no expert, but shoot me a PM if you need anything!

Let me know when you are ready for plants. I have some java moss, java fern, anacharis, sword, and hydro I'll sell ya super cheap. I also have some orange platty fish if you want. I have to really cut back some plants.

I'm looking for some foreground plants if anyone is selling.

I sent an Email out a few days ago regarding the next meeting for tfcec. Haven't gotten anything back yet. I live right down the street from where they meet, so I might just swing by and check it out. The website has not been updated since '04 so I'm a little skeptic.
