FS: Juv. Koi Angelfish Nickel-Quarter sized.

Hello all, I still have a bunch of koi Angelfish Fry up for sale. I need to sell them away so that I can prepare the tank for another batch. If anyone is interested or knows any lfs that will take these in for a small wholesale price I would gladly appreciate it. I'm just asking for $0.50 for each or if you are interested in more I can set up a better deal. I have about 30 left and time is running out! I would offer shipping, but it would be the first time i have shipped fish before and I don't want to risk the fish's life. Pickup would be in Flushing 11354.

You can try selling them to Monster Aquarium in flushing or the newly opened Petco in Forest Hills (like 70% of their fish were mollies/platies) since Petco is lacking variety.

hm, The problem is.. I don't think many lfs would buy fish from a 17 year old :/ theres a chance at monster but large chain stores like petco probably only buy from segrest farms

I know the senior aquatic specialist who's now training the people there (heard some pretty bad things). I doubt they can/will but I could talk to him whenever I see him.

Also I might want some. How big these guys get full grown? And at that age they'll try to mate right?

Great Thanks!

Many people say they can get up to 12" but I've never seen any that large. They usually start to mate at 9 months, mine started when they were 10 months old. The Juvies I have now are around 7 months old, so they should be ready for breeding in the next couple of months.

And it would be best to prevent that right? Inbreeding surely an issue. Sexable at that age?

Yea, I would prevent interbreeding. I had a group of 11 that I bought from different breeders and lfs. You can only sex them when they are breeding, but some people say the males keep their dorsal fins erect, but I don't believe that.
