Yeah they grow great. Same as any other plant. Have some downoi and starogyne repens that grow beautifully. Both from petsmart

I bought plenty of downoi and s. repens from petsmart. Mine are growing amazing. They tend to get them in spurts. I always end up buying them out every time I see them. I hit up 4-5 petsmarts a week. To the point where certain petsmarts call me when they come in. hahaha

^yea i just went today and they weren't in the best shape. I got some stauros but the roots were browned. Though when i came home, they looked ok, but maybe because they were in the packaging so long, it looked more brown.

Which ones would you recommend? I would love to try some downoi!

I have bough most of them and they all will do well if conditions are right....downoi has done so well that I have propagated them to other tanks....

Yeah you to get there on the day they come in or the day after. I've been in there and have seen packages that are literally just brown sludge because they've been sitting there for a week

My downoi and bacopa were awesome. You get a ton of tiny stems that will grow out very nicely.

Downoi is a bit of a pain since the crowns are as small as these letters. Tough to get them planted.

you get a lot more than what's paid for through petsmart IMO.

I purchased downoi and dhg from there and filled my tank nicely

I've purchased numerous crypts from them and they've never melted.

2 2.5s, 3 10s, 2 20s, 1 29. Low light, low tech. Ponds

yea i was pleasantly surprised to see how much came in the package. some browned but most were 'ok' and with good substrate source and co2 and light i think they'll recover very nicely.

anyone in nyc know any petsmart selling downoi and DHG? i'd love to try some!

I think most should stock the same plants. I've to ones in PA and Nj and they always have at least some downoi and DHG. Just ask when their shipments come in
