AS as in aquasoil, that substrate that ADA makes?

I have a hi-light tank with dirt, and my co2 will be up in a few days.
What did they guy call this specific plant?

blood red?

Have you tried simple dosing of iron in a spare tank to see how it colors?

only in aquasoil?

Theres got to be another way to get it to color up. I use a combo of fluval stratum and eco complete with ada tourmaline bc and bacter added to it and Id take the pepsi challenge with any substrate out there. Riparium supply sells these little planters for aquarium use. You could purchase a few of them and try different soil/mineral combos and see how the plants color up. Best part is all of the plants would be subject to the same environment so you're really isolating the variable in question: the substrate. It would be a cool experiment to try out.
