Do you use Liberty Gas.....

Anyone here use Liberty Gas for CO2? Maybe it is just me but I was quoted 2 different prices for a 10lb tank swap. $18 on the phone. I went there today, just now, and paid $25. Something like $18 for the CO2 and $5 for CO2 being a hazardous gas. That's only $23. And $2 tax??? I won't go there today if it isn't for the fact that I won't be heading to LI Clinton Welding Supply this week. And my CO2 is low. Looks like Liberty Gas would be my emergency stop only. If I asked too many questions, this dude behind the counter acted very annoyed. I didn't get the answer if swapping CO2 on a 10lb tank would cost the same as swapping CO2 on a 20lb.

What is the exact location??? I too only paid $18 straight in LI Clinton Welding Supply. BTW, he did write me up a receipt. I hate places like these. You can get quoted for any price. I bet if I go there the next time I will be quoted with another different price.

College pt. might be closer to you if you are going to LI, they open Sat too. Never a problem and you can pick your tank too if he has more tank in the storage, not very knowledgeable though if you need parts. I asked about cga320 stem, the guy didn't know what I am talking about.

He seemed very knowledgable and helpful to me, I was there asking about heavynduty regulators and he made lots of call to help me. I was looking for a victor stainless steel one but it was upwards of 400 dollars just for the body. Maybe they have different guys there but it was the manager that I spoke to....forgot his name though.
