WTB cheap CRS! even low grades too!

Hey, I was just wondering if anyone has any CRS's they are looking to sell. Now I'm trying to get low grades because heck I don't think I can spend 4-6 dollars per shrimp... I really like CRS's but they only shrimps I've been able to a sold colony going are cherries.

I've been having bad luck with CRS's First I tried to raise them with FSS that only lasted me like 2 months. Then I tried again this summer with ADA New Amazonia. To my surprise I found that they didn't last as long... *probably because my dad kept shutting off my filter...* Anyways, I'm still determined to try to keep these shrimps because they look awesome!

One thing that I noticed was with the ADA tank, which has a lot of guppy grass and 2 huge lotus plants with some moss and a piece of MDW. That the shrimps weren't too active. They would be hiding really. I wouldn't see them chilling in the middle or anything, I'll post a picture up tomorrow.

I'm trying to look for a price range of 2-3 dollars each. B/C/A/S because I know they are a lot more hardier than grades S+ and higher. Although I do like grades A-SS the most.

Oh and tips and tricks are welcomed too!

If these guys aren't breeding, then something is either missing or off in your tank.
If they look listless or stagnant, something needs to be done quickly....

Ada amazonia (active substrate) needs about 2 months of cycle time before adding shrimp.

If the tank is having problems it might be better to get this sorted first before adding more crs.

How many are you looking for? I am in SJ so it has to be a least a dozen or shipping wouldn't make sense.

I agree that you need to figure out your water param first. CRS isn't that hard if you keep it simple.

oh it was 2 months? everyone kept telling me it was 1 month after all the parameters are cleared. Acitydweller, the odd thing was I had a adult female who became berries before as well as a blue velvet. However they started to drop thier eggs. I thought it would because of being a new mother. By now the tank should be stBle. However I'll make sure to check it again when I get home from class.

I think the main problem was the tank being premature with the cycling. I'd probably order about 15? so it would be 30 +SnH. But I really want to do it in ny so I could do a local pick up.

Well just drive an hour down I-95 if you want to pickup (easier for me too). Oh and they will be at least S grade.

hmmm It sounds good, but I go to Manhattan a lot, which is why I posted in the NY section. I wish I had someone who lived close to me that kept CRS so I could have them come over and assist me with my tank and all.

I have guppy grass, 2 lotus plants, peacock moss, 2 marimo balls, IAL, a hybrid lily, and Malaysian Drift Wood. some HC, and I'm trying to some HM for this tank because I really like how it looks. I started this tank right around mid June.

I'll check the water parameters right after I finish writing this paper on 9/11 and I send my condolences to those effected on this day.

Just curious. why do you have a heater in there? I don't use heater in any of my CRS tank.
