WTB: Shrimps in Rochester,NY

Any local people selling any shrimps? Looking for Red Crystal and anything else since I'm just starting a tank for my daughter.

Um, Rochester is kinda far from NYC. I'm sure someone who's more local to you can chime in. If you are starting out with shrimp, consider cherry shrimp as they are much hardier and less demanding in specific water conditions than crystal shrimp.

Your best bet for western NY is still going to be from either local members here or local clubs. I have seen some Cherry shrimp at ABC Pet World in Fairport, NY (great store for Rochester, along with PetWorld in fairport & Greece).

Buffalo has "The Fish Place" which supposedly has CRS time to time, but I've only seen rilli shrimp there myself. Otherwise they are great and have an excellent plant selection as well as tons of fish.

Oh crap I keep thinking its in manhattan e.e Otherwise just have them shipped from them. It's only about 6 dollars for SnH and they'll make it thru the 1-2 days in the mail. I had shrimp shipped from cali when it was pretty hot. No DOA's.

Yeah I was there today, just saw the crs and bumblebee, they haven't had them in quite a few months. They are great people to deal with, all family run, and all 3 of them are very knowledgeable. They have some nice threadfin rainbows too, wanted to get some but I fear they may get nipped w/ Bolivian rams in the tank
