Pressurized Co2

Can anyone offer any advice as to what parts they used for their systems and where in NJ they bought their Co2 tank and filling stations?

Are you set on building your own? I got my complete setup from Green Leaf Aquariums and it's top notch.

I refill at Reliable Carbonic in New Brunswick.

I may build it myself but it seems like pre-made setups might be easier. How much was your from Green Leaf Aquariums. Do you see a noticeable difference in plant growth? Also, I am in Somerset right near New Brunswick so I will check that place out. How much do you pay for a refill? Also, what size cylinder do you have and how much usage to you get on it?

I don't recall totally, but near $400. But I went higher end. They have many models. Highly recommend them.

Yes, plants grow much better with co2, and you can grow more types of plants. Definitely worth it.

I actually live in Somerset too, Franklin Park.

I have two 5 pound tanks. They last 3-4 months each on my 48 gallon tank. Refills are $10.

Oh nice, that is awesome. I think I will take the plunge and buy a Co2 system. I too am in Franklin Park, right off of 27 in Carriage Run.

Bump: Other minor question, did yours come with an electrical solenoid to turn your Co2 on and off with a timer?

Oh cool real close. I live off south middlebush. You can take 27 straight to the co2 place. Real easy drive.

If you need help with anything let me know. Can trade plants too if you want

I am hoping once I get my Co2 setup my dwarf sag will finally take off. What type of lighting/substrate do you use? And what plants do you currently have.

Really nice tank setup, your water looks crystal clear and your plants look really good. What size tank is that? My tank is 20inches tall and I was thinking about upgrading to the finnex 24/7 light fixture, the PAR amount should be much better for my depth.

It's a Mr. Aqua 48g tank. 36x18x18. I realized I posted a picture of it with moonlights, it's much brighter normally.

I don't know much of the finnex 24/7, but it seems people really like it.

Wow if that's just moonlights then those are some serious lights. That looks as bright as mine on its highest setting. Do you ever go to Aquaridise on 18? If so what are your thoughts. The store seems okay in my opinion, never seems to have a big selection but very informative staff.

Here's one with full daylight.

Yeah, I just picked up some bumble bee gobies from aquaridise. The store is good for fish, a bit overpriced, but good. I'm going to Fishtown USA in Ramsey on Saturday for a plant pickup. They have a HUGE selection up there in case you've never been.

I will have to check that store out sometime soon. I have heard of it but never been. I generally go to Tropiquarium in Ocean Township. They have a pretty good selection but lack on plants. They also have good deals with buy 2 get the third free, or 50% to buy one get one. Also seem to have healthy looking fish. I bought all my angels from them and all are breeding pairs.

FishTown USA is a great place to go. Good selection of plants. Rt 17S in Ramsey.

As to your first question, I bought my regulator from Sumo and they don't sell them anymore. They are members of the plant club, NJAGC. Includes a solenoid valve, bubble counter, and nice needle valve made by Ideal. http://www.idealvalve.com/52-series-...le-valves.html

Thank you for the link and advice! How is the fish selection at FishTown USA? I may take a trip up there this weekend. Also, how can I join NJAGC? Seems like an informative group to become a member of to learn more about my planted tank.
