Oh, I see plenty of Boesemani, Threadfins, Praecox, some Turqouise and one of the Petsmarts by me even carries Red rainbows. But the
issue with a lot of bows is poor breeding resulting in poor specimens + they are expensive. So if I was ever going to buy a mess of Axelrodi, Kamaka, Wanamensis, Goyder river, and Boesemani I would A) want to buy in bulk to maximize economies of scale and B) make sure that they came from a strong gene pool. There are rainbow breeders who are renowned for this kind of thing (sort of like Discus) and I was just wondering if any existed in NJ.
There are few things more frustrating than a washed out rainbow that didn't color up like you expected at the store... It is more of a problem with them than with a fish like a tetra or Cory cat, where individual fish pretty much all look the same way.
