Anyone want an Angelfish? (West Orange, NJ)
I've got two angelfish (among other things) in a 90G tank here in West Orange, NJ. They are both over 1 year old and full grown. Sadly, as they have matured one harasses the other non-stop and I would like to give one away to a good home. The point here is separation of the two, not that they are unhealthy or anything like that.
If you're worried about behavior, they get along fine with all other fish, including an old school of neon tetras that they don't try to eat. They swim around with fish as large and fast as Boesemani Rainbows and have no trouble competing for food, etc.
I'm not able to sex angels, but at this point I'm sure they are either both females or both males since they have not tried to mate. I cannot recall the exact strain/style of angel, but they were purchased from Ely's in Morris Plains, who gets them from a local breeder. They are predominantly black in color, but the body is a dark gray between the stripes so it is not totally black. Both have red eyes, as well. They are not the lace or vail tail varieties or anything like that.
Anyone interested? If so you can have one for free on either Saturday or Sunday AM this weekend. Otherwise I will probably bring one back to the shop where I bought them.
I'll check back for takers over the next few days. Thanks!
