Most LFS here are pretty overpriced when it comes to dwarf cichlids. If you're willing to make the trek up to NYC Monster Aquarium often sells really nice GBR.

Look up the North Jersey Aquarium Society.

They have an auction in a few weeks (10/12) around East Brunswick and they have a few members who raise Apistos and GBR's....

I know I've seen A. Pebas, A. Nissenji, A. Caucatoides there in the past couple of years.

There isn't a guarantee of what will be offered but its a fair chance to take.

Aquarium Center in Clementon typically has plenty, especially Rams.

I hate to appear to keep pimpin' out NJAS but one of their sponsors is Batfish Aquatics (they're in Maryland). They put up a pre-order list on the NJAS Facebook page for the NJAS Tropical Fish Weekend on 10/11-10/12. Josh will deliver to East Brunswick. He's a reputable importer/re-seller and supports the true non-profit fish society's..... His pre-order list has several Apisto species and the prices look VERY reasonable (IMO)

here is a link.

I believe he will also deliver to Cat-Con the following weekend in VA

Or just visit his website...

If your in South Jersey, there is a place on blackwood clementon road called Aquarium Center that at least a couple years ago had a ton of selection.

Not sure if you're looking for mail-order, but I ordered some really nice German Blue Rams from member I found on this website who is a breeder out of Illinois. Prices were real good, and they are packed extremely well with heat packs and breathable bags.

Im looking at the business card that came with my order and it specifically says "specializing in south american dwarf cichlids"

Raith,

What species did you get, how many, tank size?

Inquiring minds want to know.

I got a pair of Pelvicachromis taeniatus, 20gallon, planted tank, both are already adults. They're cute together, they follow each other around. They AMAZING at uprooting my freshly planted plants. >_<
