I am interested in attending!
anyone is welcomed?

Could you explain the silent auction a little? and is that the only type of auction that's going to be held(both days)?

Im pretty sure a silent auction is not really silent: However, there isnt the conventional "auctioneer". Meaning, you write your bids on a paper corresponding with the item.

I want to come! Hopefully I can, Thurdsday's I missed because my dad was away and I had no ride from NYC .

Sounds fun though!

Aaaah! - UGH!
I WANTED TO MAKE IT TO THIS LAST ONE!
it would have been my first! i had it in my head that i was going to attend, but i dont know why i thought it was on the 25th!!
i just checked the site and now i have NO IDEA where the heck i got that number / date from!! and it was closer to me being that it was in lyndhurst.
i wouldnt have noticed that i missed it till later if it wasnt for thefishnoobs last post! that sucks for me because the next one seems to be a pretty big event and not the ideal venue for my first time. dont know how / where i got 25th from!! [ENTER EXPLETIVES HERE!!!]

Did anyone go? I went and had a great time. Especially loved the talk by Ad Konings on Tanganyika cichlids.

Batfish Aquatics brought about 15 or so 10 gallon tanks and were selling fish. I bought 6 Hara cats for $5.00 each. They were very small, 3/8 to 1" in length. They even brought an electric catfish. Good selection of dried foods to choose from.

Overall, I had a great time and met up with some folks I've known for a while. It was very good.

I went Sunday for the live goods auction. Family matters on Saturday prevented me from attending both days....Great group of hobbyists......

Picked up some rasboras vulcanus and a plant.....

I was hoping to get some of the Crystal Red Shrimp MsJinxd donated but they went higher than I wanted to pay. MsJinxd donated several lots of various Nerite snails and various shrimps. She's a great supporter of many of the non-profit fish societies...

I was able to attend the auction. I donated fifty or so micagemmae aka Vietnamese white clouds.
The auction was a lot of fun except some guy in the back kept outbidding me on every plant that eventually I gave up and bid first on every plant so he could bid it up... More money for njas I guess. But I had a lot of fun.
I still have a bunch of micagemmae if any one wants ...
The rasbora Volcanus was a great buy by the way.... I have some adults from Rosario and they are an awesome fish. I convinced my friend to buy a batch...
