Post CO2 Refill- Jersey City Area

Anybody knows where to get my brand new 5LB tank (of EBAY) refill in the Jersey City/ Bayonne or even the Hoboken Area? My first time doing pressurized CO2 injection. Can you also include the price they charge if known. Thanks.

I dont know off hand but you can check for local micro brewerys or welding shops in the yellow pages. If you dont have a phonebook try http://www.qwestdex.com Out of curiosity, what did the tank cost you?

About $55 not including shipping. Shipping is based on your location. Here's the seller: Kegworks_dot_com.

Hoboken Beer and Soda does cheap refills. My buddy has a kegorator and uses them. I found the place a while back when I was looking to do CO2 on my 90G. It's got bad hours though so you may want to keep looking.

I get mine filled at Welco/CGI in Newark at 425 Avenue P. Not the greatest area unless you know it, but fairly cheap re-fills. Any reason why you bought a cylinder? I just bought mine there and do swaps...I don't know if they will re-fill your specific tank on-site. Swapping is recommended because you never have to worry about testing the cylinder.

To get started from them was $68.50 with tax, including the first fill.

Refills are about $19. And they have Saturday hours...

I didn't know at the time they got a swap program. Do you think they will re-fill mine eventhou its brand new or do i have to get it tested. And if i do how do i go about getting it tested? Thanks.

Does SOS swap or refill on site?

I am calling a couple of fire extinguisher shops tomorrow to see if we have any more alternatives here in NJ.

I am tired of paying AGL $29 for a 5 lb refill.

I'm not 100% sure SOS swaps, but I imagine they do. I have my tank refilled on site. It was $15 for 10lb.

Swap places will still charge to test your bottle when your originally turned in bottle was set to expire. It's only like $20 every couple years so no big deal but you still will get hit with that charge.

And I refill my bottles at a welding supply/fire extinguisher store, think it's $9.50 to swap my 5lb.

Kearny? Not bad!

I have a lead on a place that should do 5lb for $15. I should now for sure in a couple of days.

So, right now we have:

SOS in Kearny
Welco in Newark
