Sorry, don't know any public transportation routes. Hopefully somebody else chimes in and helps you out with this. You definitely don't want to miss this auction.

Here are various directions from the NJAS site that shows you how to get there.

The closest would probably be Lyndhurst...but would be a cab from there...I don't know of any shuttle type service to the environmental center.

At any rate...to Lyndhurst:

How far is that from NYC?
What is proper etiquette?
do I RSVP in advance or just show my ugly mug at the door?
Do I have to be a member?
Should I bring my exras too?

Whatever it takes to get out of the Tunnel, add about 15-20 minutes.

Just show up...

Don't have to be a member...

Bring Extras? If you want to register to sell fish you have to get there between 9 and 11AM. I am going to talk to Jay about getting the site/flyer fixed up a bit. So I don't know about registering plants for auction.

Jersey- you may have just blown your "secret source" for cheap plants! You're gonna have some competition at the next auction.

I want to come just to meet you guys!

Come on down, but a quick Warning, NJAS has some plants and shrimp usually for auction, but.... A lot of the guys there are really "Fish" folk. A few of us are working on building the plant side.
Don't get me wrong, You will find something for your planted aquarium.
I've seen 6 cherry shrimp (including an egg carrying female) go for $7 at the monthly auction.
Lots of Liverbearers (endlers, rare platies, swords, guppies, etc...).

Hoping to have some nice chainswords, and possibly corkscrew vals there myself for auction.

Turbo, if you are coming from the GW, just take 4W to 17S till the end (check the site http://www.njas.net/home.htm). On a sunday that isn't football season, won't take you more than 20- 30 minutes from the GW.

Walter

Last meeting was my first "aquarium auction" which was an amazing experience. Too bad I didn't get a bidding card as I'm sure I would have bought a few things.

The auction on May 7th is the "grand daddy auction" so make sure all of you guys show up. It would be interesting to meet everyone.

I know Russell and I will be there. We will be bringing some plants, alittle more common ones though. If I can only find a bag big enough for that red sword.
