Matawan NJ ... paisano you are 2 hours south of us and we've been "culturing" live mosquito larvae for weeks now... you should have had them buckets out on March 1st

be forewarned though - once your fish get a taste of larvae you will have difficulty getting them back onto white worm

aha I was wonder when to start on the mosquitos :P

Someone told me to put out many smaller container out for the larvae, this way when collecting you'd get all of them.

Time to collect some gallon jug or containers for them

The Bucks County (Pennsylvania) Aquarium Society is having their annual auction on May 14....I realize this is the NJ page BUT BCAS is currently culturing many live foods to sell at what I am told will be very reasonable prices....

I know they are currently planning to sell banana worms, micro worms , vinegar eels and possibly grindal worms (keep fingers crossed).

Bump: The Jersey Shore Aquarium Society is having their annual auction this Sunday April 24 at

South Wall Fire Rescue Company
2605 Atlantic Ave
Manasquan, NJ

Auction starts at 11.

I cant guarantee live cultures but probably will have.....There was great diversity of fish, plants etc. at last years event.....
