visiting st. louis, any good fish / plant stores i should visit?

the title of the thread says it all...
going to watch cardinals / braves play next week and wanted to know where i should go to look check out fish and/or plants in the st. louis area (if such a place exists) I know there are a few members here from the area, so give me a heads up on where to go!

Ah yes. there are actually several places to look at while out here.

there is aqua world, tropical world, pet market place ( where i used to work ), andy's animals, gateway aquatics, beltds aquarium, malawi aquatics, those are really the best around here.

excellent.. i've googled "fish stores st. louis" and come up with addresses and phone numbers and maps for most of those with a few exceptions. i may send a pm for more details if i can't find them somewhere before i leave.

no problem. if you need directions to any of these places lemme know. they are pretty easy to get to from 270/44 or just about anywhere.

visited aqua world(gravois), tropical world, and pet market place. aqua world had the best selection of plants hands down, but the fish selection was a pretty even match, with tropical world getting my vote for having the particular fish i was looking for (a large female keyhole cichlid). thanks a million for the info Geoff, it was incredibly useful.

no problem. those three places are usually the ones that all the fish regualrs hit up. i know employees at all three and i used to work at PMP

Not sure about stores to visit but I have to reccomend the botanical gardens.
They are simply the best in the midwest.

Beldts is great for live foods (Blackworms, live adultbrine shrimp), Eco complete, and a plethora of stuff you can't get at any chain stores. They usually have some decent plants you can't get anywhere else but unless they have changed I didn't see any foreground plants like glosso

this thread is 3 years old bro. And beldts is very high priced. I say meh to beldts. Also eco is only 19.99 at petco.
