Looking for female bettas

Hi all,

I have a betta sorority in a 29 g, recently lost a fish due to jumping and a careless friend. Looking to buy 1-3 more betta females, but I am at a loss as to where to go other than Petco, and I don't want to support them.

Are there any betta breeders in the area, or suggestions on where I can find some in a non-petco store? Last time I checked in Lovely Pets and Aquaworld they only had males.

Thanks for your help!

Might be too far for you, but you could give Uncle Ned's a call

Have you tried see-bay or aquabid.com? There are some lovely females on those sites. Btw you may want to remove and rescape the tank then add ll betas (old and new) back in after so the old group doesn't have territories and see new ones as intruders.

Due to photobuckets new bs cost for use of images on forums I have deleted all photobucket accounts. I apologize if you enjoyed or found my photos helpful.

I have two female betas you can have from my 75. One is red and one is blue.

75 gallon planted low tech
10 gallon quarantine planted low tech
5 gallon planted (sons) low tech
Plant heavily, fertilize well, stock lightly, change water weekly, and most importantly do not use too much light.

....for the time being... I have had red ones go blue, and blue ones go red.

Such awesome fish, especially the females. I see the latest move in the trade is to sell short finned males as females to prevent private breeding.

Hi. I'm back.
