Looking for Lavender Betta Fish - shop suggestions?

Is as what the title says, i'm looking for a lavender Betta fish similar to the beautiful guy I had a few years back (attachment below).

I figured it was a matter of luck finding him initially, and I'm not really sure how to go about it except for finding/calling every pet store and trying to describe this color haha.

Does anyone know of any stores around the Boston/metrowest/northshore/southshore I could try? I'd be willing to drive up to Salem NH as well if anyone knows good shops up there!

You can email the picture to Ned at unclenedsfishfactory.com to see if he has any.

He is very good at getting back on email. I've sent him a bunch of emails and he always responds. Can also post on the site forum.

This is just what I was looking for, thank you! Never have seen this shop but it looks to be just the kind of place i'm hoping has specialty Bettas.

Another possibility would be a site called Aquabid.com
Search for "lavender delta tail"

+1 on Neds

Generally very good about responding and ordering 'weird' stuff.

180g - Tropheus Bemba, Syno Petricola
125g - Planted SA Community, Firemouths & Acaras
90g - High Tech Planted
20g - low tech planted
6g - Eheim low tech nano planted

I emailed Ned and he got back to me right away; unfortunately he's never seen this color before, so I'm going to try heading down to Aqua World in Chinatown, knowing they have a great betta selection.

Ned's store is really impressive however, and i'm thinking of driving down anyway just to check it out in person!

I've only been to Tropic Isle in Framingham once, so not sure if they have any betas. I was there for something else, so not paying attention. Give them a call as well.

Tropic Isle had had a dismal selection of Bettas the last few times I've been there.

As mentioned previously, Aquqbid has really become the premiere global marketplace for unusual Bettas.

Hey Everyone! I ended up going to Aqua World in China Town, where I purchased the first betta. They didn't have the same color, but had a blue-purple-iridescent betta which I decided to walk away with. The store keeper actually said he has not seen coloration like the one I had or the one I purchased for a long while.

They had a beautiful black orchid betta for $12 that I was bummed I didn't have room for. They said they have new shipments of bettas every week, I would highly recommend checking them out!

Here's a picture of the new resident, when he stopped to explore his new 15g planted mansion. =) Can't wait to see any added color after some hardy food!
