Maryland CO2 refill

Just giving a heads up that the fire extinguisher business called Firesafe in Aberdeen is a great place to get your CO2 filled accurately and safely. My first fill up was in paintball shop. They didn't weigh it and my tank lasted a very short time.

Thanks for the info! Any idea on their prices? I won't be going there, but just for anyone who is interested. Here are a couple of places I've been to and are reasonably priced -

For those near Baltimore:

Fireline Corporation
4506 Hollins Ferry Rd, Baltimore, MD 21227
(410) 247-1422

- I pay about $15 for a 5lb tank there. Great price in my opinion. They don't do hydro testing in house, so that will cost you about $15 on top of the fill, and your tank will be sent out and you won't see it for a few weeks.

For those near DC/Mongomery County:
HK Fire Protection
315 Howard Ave
Rockville, MD 20850

- Loved this place when I lived in this area! Friendly staff and usually pretty quick to get filled. Cost <$10 for a 5lb tank ($8 if I recall) and about $12-15 for a hydro test (which they do themselves - so you won't lose your tank). I highly recommend this place.. I'd still be going here if I didn't move!

I think I paid $21 or $25, can't remember exactly. That's for a 10 lb cylinder.

HK Fire Protection is out of business.

HK Fire Protection, located at the address below, is now out of business.

315 Howard Ave
Rockville, MD 20850

The old owner happened to be there today, when I went by to check on getting a 5lb bottle refilled, and he asked that his information be removed from this site, if at all possible. He also directed me to the following place, where I was able to get my tank refilled for $25. A little more than I wanted to pay, but they're the only game in town now and I live 10 minutes away.

Maryland Fire Equipment
12284 Wilkins Ave,
Rockville, MD 20852
