Thanks, it's what I call overgrown mess. It's really trickery. It's all low-tech low-light plants allowed to run wild, and what you don't see is the thread algae I was plagued by at the time.
Algae seems to be a continual nuisance. I'm hoping that with the new lighting, Co2 on the PH Controller, and ferts my algae issues will go away.
I have noticed that I seem to have stemmed the growth of the long string algae. What the driftwood picture doesn't show is prior to cleaning it off that piece was covered in 6" strands of this brown algae I had in my 46 Gallon.
The good thing is since removing as much as I could, it hasn't grown a centimeter, but the plants appear to be doing well.
