Cheap Tropica TC plants

I was at Fish Planet in Deerfield tonight and saw a pile of Tropica tissue cultured plants for sale at $5! Apparently the Tropica folks stopped by Fish Planet today and provided the plants. This is a great deal - I may have to buy some that I've never tried before. All looked really good as they were just shipped in. There were literally trays and trays of $5 plants.

Everyone - there are plants still left at $5. Don't miss this once in a lifetime opportunity to try Tropica tissue cultured plants at a cheap price. They still look great (because they're tissue cultured) and I saw a bunch of them still there at Fish Planet on Wednesday.

i had only good experience with tissue cultured plants. $5 - this is super deal. It is just far for me, but even my tanks are fully stocked, I would buy some of them

I'm thinking of making the trip tomorrow and I live in St Charles so it's a bit of a ride. You think there's enough left to make the journey worth it? Any idea what's still left?

Call Fish Planet and ask Steve what is left. I may go over today and if I do, I'll post a listing.

I've picked a few up from the aquarium convention in Schaumburg the last 2 years and I've had nothing but success with them. I'm sure if they sit long enough they start to look bad but all the pots I've got have been great. I think I'll make the trip out there in the morning either way. I like giving good quality aquarium shops my money and I'm sure there's something I could use there with or with out the tropica stuff. Thanks for the response!

You need to get them in the first few weeks after they arrive otherwise they will start to either brown or if the lid was opened, there may be some fungus growing on the tissue culture medium.

Here is what I saw there tonight:
Taxiphyllum barberi
Fontinalis antipyretica
Vesicularia dubyana
Lilaeopsis brasiliensis
Echinodorus tenellus "green"
Diplis diandra
Sagittaria subulata
Rotala bonsai
Heteranthera zostifolia
Glossostima elatinoides
Hemianthus callitrioides Cuba (only one good cup left)
Litorella uniflora
Pogostemon erectus
Proserpinaca palustris

That's it. Have fun.
