Chicago Aquatic Plant Society's April Meeting
The Chicago Aquatic Plant Society is a newly formed organization that emphasizes educating hobbyists about starting, keeping, and maintaining aquatic plants in the aquarium. The club will be a location where hobbyists can ask questions, exchange ideas, learn about aquascaping principles, and other information relevant to keeping planted tanks.
The April Meeting will be at the Garfield Park Conservatory in Chicago. The event is on April 10 (Sunday) starting at 12 noon. There is free entry and free parking at the visitors lot or on the street nearby. For this meeting, we will be having a Wabi-Kusa workshop, where each person can put together their own Wabi-Kusa to bring home. (Wabi-Kusa is an art where plants are grown emersed from a substrate ball.) Each person is asked to contribute $5.00 cash at the meeting to help cover the cost of the materials required. Some plants will be provided, but please also bring any plants of your own to use and any to share as well.
You must RSVP for the event by going to our Facebook page (put in a request to join the group) and RSVP to the event posted on the page.
