Clean up crew

So the the Hawaiian Islands present unique livestock availability challenges, especially when it comes to invertebrates. On the mainland I used Cherry Shrimp and Nerite Snails, but I dont think they are available here. I was wondering what everyone uses as a clean up crew and where the got them. Its ok to PM with info :-)

Your lucky and you don't know it. The "cherry shrimp" aka Neocardina davidi is prevalent in most streams on Oahu. Happy shrimpin.

"feeder Shrimps" from petstore, don't quote me on it, but I believe they are neocaradina, Otos, ramshorn snail and malasian trumpet snails.

Definitely agree with the others to check out some of the local streams around here. I've actually found some pretty colorful neos randomly although most are clear or brownish. Snails are pretty prevalent too and the ones I've come across seem to be a type of trumpet snail similar (or the same) as MTS. You can also just go to some of the petstores here and they'll either give you some (pond, ramshorn, MTS though, not nerites) for free or sell you some for very cheap. Additionally Pets Plus sometimes sells CRS I've noticed, and a number of hobbyists sell RCS culls locally too.

Yuuuuup, I caught some blue neos before. Maybe 1 for every 100-300 I catch.

Where's a good stream to catch these colorful neos?
