WTB Chili Rasboras (Boraras Brigittae)

Anyone has for sale?

I've already checked all stores on Oahu, except the Northshore store.

Willing to sell me what you have?

Any mail order sources?

I'm looking for 6-10 of them.

LMK, thanks.

Great fish.

Mail ordering to the Hawaiiis tricky at best, but you might be able to do it with some planning. Better to ask a local store like Aquascapes if he's willing to order some more (where I bought mine). I'd like to boost my stock as well. (currently have 11, in a 10g at work).

I'm trying to breed my Chili's now. No luck so far. I'm switching from playing Berry White to Enya, that might help. It's so hard to tell what romantic music is right for which fish.

Yep, I keep asking Aquascapes, I saw some a while back, and asked for more. They won't give me a straight answer, they don't know when they will order, they don't know when the can order, or if they will ever bring them in again, with no particular reason why. Sounds like they don't have a supplier to me, but they won't say exactly. Best I could do was leave my number when they get some in.

if you had them for less than a year, wanna sell me your stock? I'll give you $30 for it.

you can apply for a permit to get them shipped from within the US, you just have to have a set date and species list for them. I have shipped t osomeone in Hawaii that way. They got the permit,e mailed it to me, I printed it and put it in the box.

State Quarantine can be reached at (808)832-0566 or on there web site.

In short you need a permit ($20 I think) and you'll have 1 year to get your fish to the islands. You should work with a breeder (like MsJinkzd) ahead of time to make sure things go smoothly.

Here is a thread about shipping to Hawaii. It might help.

Yeah, I know about permits, I'd rather have my LPS do it. Reason why I didn't bring up permits, is because Boraras Brigittae isn't on the conditionally approved list, and technically, anything not on that list, is considered prohibited according to the site anyways. I don't want to get into that spiel.

MsJinkzd, I'll PM you.
