We talk last night, but don't give up. The hobby is still fairly young in the United States, and even more so on the islands, it takes some time, and determination to get things rolling, look at me. I started to import rare moss and erios, and it's taken about 4-5 months to have several people catch on, now it's slowly but surely catching on of what I have and becoming more and more wanted and popular, same thing with fish tanks. Hold some meetings at a convention center, or a park, or your house for people interested. Talk to them about the ups about the hobby. Convince them it's a wonderful thing. Then and only then will it grow

must....have.....more....moss n shrimp!!!!!!!!!!

I'd rather have (and do) have hobbies that are not the norm around me. The work you put into something you love that no one else does makes it that more alluring and interesting. I think if all my friends and neighbors where doing the same things I was doing... To get away from the normal grind... Then I might jump ship. If you don't enjoy it anymore, don't do it. But don't quit because it's not all the rage in your area.

@subtle you know my direction. We have a good relationship and it's seems my passion is where it's should be with your inland peeps.... Sad to say Hawaii is so closed to their options and selection that the hobby has become a dick size comparing competition even worse even business do this. A local business has ratted many local individuals out to department of agriculture for non listed animals because the simple fact that local or private suppliers have exclusive deals and under cut greedy businesses like this particular one.

Now to social media members. People here in Hawaii is based on jealousy. Most people I have talked to about ag rule change is for it but is see no one making movement with me so what I say to F it let the hobby drown in Hawaii. Everyone here rants and talks smack about one another why should I stick around to watch a hobby die when I can make it thrive else where. For all that are still my TRUE. Friends this is not about you or is turned in ur way.

But as I have to say is I am out of the hobby here locally and making big connections with the states
