I think I have seen that particular brand at pet smart. Could be wrong. I am not a user of chemi pure. I usually use seachem products such as matrix and purigen

Does it have to be local?

Aloha Stan,

I know you were looking for a local source, but I've had pretty good luck with Amazon and their free shipping! I've been using the ChemiPure for decades! I've not yet used the elite, but I'm sure it'll be just as good as the original, if not better. If you don't need it immediately, I'd say, order it and stock up on it!

Best of Luck!

Yea I think got some algae problems there some brown fuzzy looking dust on my driftwood and my gravel I'm guessing its brown algae.
Plus some of java fern has some green hair like Algae growing on it. I'm thinking of using chemo pure elite to help with the algae

You could use HYDROGEN PEROXIDE with a spray bottle to help control algae. It works well against many algae. Try look into it and its cheap.

Is a good fix. What I do is dip the wood in Clorox let sit for 30 sec. Then I rinse the Clorox off and put the wood in a bucket with water and declorinator.
