Wondering if there are any members, or anyone who knows about the Tampa Bay Aquarium Society? I'm planning to going to the swap meet in May but wondering about the group in general. Thanks!

Been a member for a couple of years. Every meeting has an auction after the speaker. A lot of knowledge in the members. Guest speakers when they can get them.
A few members worked at fish farms. One owns one.

Is it freshwater only or mixed? Do they talk about fauna as well as flora? Ive been wanting to go to a meeting and just check it out but always forget. I will definitely be going to the swap meet though.

I've been to one or two meets and enjoyed myself. They had an auction once and I ended up picking up one or two things. The one meeting that stands out had a guest or member demonstrating some aquascaping techniques, I think, and then auctioned off the tank. Definitely would recommend you give it a go. I enjoyed myself, just a bit too far from West Pasco to drive out there regularly.

That might have been the meeting where Laura Lee, a member here did the presentation. Then she won the auction for the tank too boot.
