Glosso

If you try to grow Glosso in a 10 gallon, with nothing else what lighting would you have to have?? Also would you have to add ferts? Flourish and Flourish Excel and either adding nitrates or ammonia but i'm thinking of just adding ammonia. What do you think? Any more ferts needed? Also I can have Eco-complete or Flourite easly.

EDIT: I was thinking, would it be better to grow glosso or Ricca. I dont like having to make Ricca weights though lol

i'd say riccia, you don't need a special substrate, and it looks better when pearling i think

Riccia would be easier to grow, but messier, especially when you're trimming them. I actually prefer glosso due to this, but it's really up to you. You would have no problems growing riccia. Glosso on the other hand requires more light and is a bit more harder to grow relatively to the riccia. Also, it would take more time to carpet the substrate, but once established, grows in very nicely.

Just pick up an ahsupply kit (one 36W would be plentiful), dose regularly (not just ammonia, but the full range; it isn't too expensive to dose a 10-gallon, since the volume is so small), and you should be set.
