Potted - Bare Root - Tissue (seeking advice)

What are the pros and cons of tissue cultured vs bare root vs potted plants?

Just curious if there is a preference.
Thanks

It's more a question of the plant type and the grow-out method used by the supplier. Don't think there is much of a difference once you get them home and planted in your tank. Never tried tissue cultures myself, but it sounds like people have success with them. From what I have gathered it makes it easier for importers to bring plants in, and somehow they can survive for long periods of time inside the packaging.

tissue cultured guaranteed pest free and exactly the sub species they say it is have to carefully rinse the gel there grown in off. potted tends to be a pain because of root lock making it hard to get the plant separated from the rock wool and pot to plant. bare root are usually more mature plants then tissue cultured and cheaper. they are ready to plant when you get them. other then maybe an dip if your worried about snails. potted would need this too but i like snails in my tanks as they help keep the tank balanced.
